Tour de France: Chalk up another win for the boys in Argyle

On Thora day when much of the attention was being focused on the top ten riders, Garmin-Cervélo managed to steal earn their fourth stage victory of this fairytale installment of the Tour de France. World Champion Thor Hushovd was joined by teammate Ryder Hesjedal, on a cold and rainy day, as they rode away from the peloton with a 10-man breakaRyder1way group. Displaying their world class teamwork, in the final 2km, the two Garmin riders were able to box in Team Sky's Boasson Hagen. Sacrificing his own aspirations of a stage victory on cycling's biggest stage, Hesjedal dropped his head and put out a grand effort while leading the two trailing riders towards the finish. And almost on cue, as if it were scripted, the World Champion jumped out of the saddle with 300m to go and out sprinted fellow countryman (Norway) Hagen for his second stage victory and tenth in his career on the streets of France.

After the race, Hesjedal (Canada) had this to say, "It was an unreal day – so hard from the start – but we showed that there's no better team than Garmin-Cervélo in terms of teamwork. Four stage wins and it keeps getting better!"
