Whether you have one bike or 20, keeping it properly tuned up is extremely important, which is why the Team Garmin-Sharp mechanics have such an important job—the team literally could not function without them! We were able to chat with mechanic Geoff Brown ahead of the Tour de France, and get some insight on what it's like working for an elite cycling team.

What’s the most important tip you can share to riders at home who want to keep their bike in good condition?

How do you keep your cool when something happens to a rider’s bike during a big race?

Got it. You guys have to keep your cool. But there has to be something that sticks out in your mind. What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen happen during a race?

In case something does happen, how many extra bikes does each rider have during a race?

What are you most excited about being at the Tour de France this year?

The cobbles were a particularly daunting stage for the riders, and probably even worse for the mechanics. How did you have to prepare for that?

Lastly, what does it mean to you to be a part of Team Garmin-Sharp?
