Garmin Announces New and Continued Sponsorship of Professional Triathletes
Garmin is excited to announce a partnership with professional triathlete Timothy O’Donnell, and continued sponsorships with current Garmin triathletes Jenny Fletcher and Ben Collins.
O’Donnell has two wins to date this season at Challenge St. Andrews and Ironman 70.3 St. Croix. He will race Ironman 70.3 Racine on July 20 as a Garmin Athlete.
O’Donnell remarked, “In a sport where records and seconds count, Garmin is an essential tool for training and racing. Garmin is the leader in GPS technology for triathletes, cyclists, and runners. They continually and methodically raise the bar for their products, just as I strive to do with each race.”
About Timothy O’Donnell
Professional Triathlete and Navy veteran Timothy O’Donnell counts among his accomplishments nine Ironman 70.3 victories, an Ironman 140.6 win, six Armed Forces National Championships, and 21 professional career wins. He set the American Record for the Ironman distance at IM Brazil in 2013 and was the top American at the 2013 Kona IM World Championship, finishing fifth. O’Donnell is a former US Naval Officer with a MEng degree from UC Berkeley, and he is an active supporter of Team RWB. Jenny Fletcher became a Garmin athlete in 2011. In her professional career she has claimed 13 top-20 finishes, including a first place at the Ironman 70.3 Branson, fifth at the NYC Tri LTF Series, fifth at the Alp d’Huez Tri, and sixth at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
