Peg’s Posts: Psycho Wyco – taming the trails
A motley crew of Garmin runners, 17 in total, will be out in force at tomorrow’s Psycho Wyco trail race in Kansas City, Kansas. The race, put on by a respected local trail running club, the KC Trail Nerds, is expected to draw a record 400 runners. Distances range from 5k to 10 miles, 20 miles and the psychopathic 50k. Of course, the distances are somewhat irrelevant compared to the terrain and elevation challenges. Jake, who ran the 10-miler last year when covering a story on local KC legend, Barefoot Rick, convinced me to join him this year.
