Peg’s Posts: Forerunner 610 — wireless wizardry

My first installment of favorite features on Forerunner 610 was all about speed. Speed in everything from satellite acquisition to touchscreen operations. A close second on my list of favs is the 610’s wireless upload capability. While this feature isn’t new to our Forerunner line, it’s always been a winner in my book because it gets my data into Garmin Connect that much faster. Once my 610 is within a few feet of my computer, the tiny USB stick snatches the data and beeps to let me know it’s there. Later, I can log into my Garmin Connect account to review my run, add notes or share it. And, when I’m running away from home, like my recent barefoot beach run, I don’t miss a beat in sending my data to Garmin Connect. The magic of ANT+ wireless does it for me.

Need a good reason to upgrade to the Forerunner 610? Find out more about our trade-in program, available now through August 31, 2011. When you purchase a new Forerunner at your specialty fitness retailer, you can trade in your old Forerunner and get $50 back. That’s a good chunk toward your next pair of running shoes. And the best part is, your old faithful Forerunner will be donated to the Girls on the Run SoleMates charity running program. See trade-in program details here.
