GTN750 CFstack1While many students begin to wind down their semester this month and prepare for finals, many pilots find this to be a great time to brush up on airspace, FAR’s, and you guessed it… their Garmin avionics!  For the first time this year, we offered GTN Training Seminars right here at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. We received such positive reviews that we are planning to offer pilot training again in 2013!

Our pilot training offers a lot more than just hangar talk. At our GTN Training Seminar, you can expect to gain a better understanding of the new touch-screen user interface while practicing on an actual GTN 650 and GTN 750 kiosk. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to practice flight planning, loading and activating approaches, arrivals, and departures. Pilots also have the opportunity to practice short cuts to obtain important airport, weather and NavAid information. Even more valuable, pilots have the chance to ask questions and offer suggestions directly to Garmin.

GTN ClassBeyond the Training Seminar, dinner is provided on Friday night and a catered, working lunch on Saturday during the session. A factory tour of Garmin and our state-of-the-art facility is also a highlight of the weekend, allowing pilots to see first-hand where their avionics are developed and manufactured.

Since class sizes are limited, you will receive the one-on-one attention you deserve and ensure that all of your questions are answered. For those who choose to fly in for training, Garmin is conveniently situated between two Class D airports. New Century Air Center (KIXD) and Johnson County Executive (KOJC) are both less than 15 minutes from Garmin Headquarters.

If you are interested in attending any one of our GTN Training seminars in 2013, please e-mail aviation.training@garmin.com or call 866-736-5687 for additional information. While our GTN Training Seminar does not entail any type of exam, I promise you’ll be thankful you refined and expanded your Garmin GTN skills after this class!
