GTN_HR_153.1When Santa Fe Aero is finished, this panel will be fully transformed. One very noticeable upgrade will be the Garmin GTN 750 and GTN 650 touchscreen avionics stack. With dual GTNs the lucky winner of this aircraft gets two, fully-integrated GPS/NAV/COM/MFD solutions. The intuitive touchscreen controls provide unprecedented access to high-resolution terrain mapping, graphical flight planning, geo-referenced charting, traffic display, weather information and more.

This aircraft will also be fully ADS-B rule-compliant with Garmin’s latest ADS-B solutions on board. First, it will be equipped with a GTX 33 ES remote transponder. With this transponder and the GTNs, the Debonair will meet the requirements for ADS-B Out anywhere in the world. Having the remote transponder also saves panel space, allowing the pilot to control the transponder using the GTN touchscreen.
The Debonair will also be equipped with the first dual-link ADS-B solution for certified aircraft – the Garmin GDL 88. Not only does the GDL 88 bring 978 MHz ADS-B Out capability to the aircraft, but it also brings dual-link ADS-B In capability. As a result, the pilot will be able to display subscription-free weather and comprehensive datalink traffic information on the GTNs. Learn more about the other advanced capabilities you get when you combine a GDL 88 with a GTN.

Finally, the aircraft will also include Garmin’s GDL 39 portable ADS-B receiver, allowing the pilot to also view subscription-free weather and datalink traffic on an iPad with the Garmin Pilot app.

The Debonair will be awarded to a lucky winner at the 2014 AOPA Aviation Summit in Palm Springs, California! Stay tuned to the Garmin blog for more updates, and be sure to look for the airplane at upcoming aviation shows!
