Garmin Panoptix Now Available for Even More Anglers
Earlier this year, Garmin announced its newest game-changing fishing technology – Panoptix all-seeing sonar. This is the same Garmin technology that played a huge part during Scott Martin’s 2015 FLW Tour Angler of the Year title run, and helped many other pros cash big checks this year. Now, less than a year later, Garmin has introduced several new Panoptix transducers, making the technology available for all types of anglers, from entry level to professional.
The newest member of the Panoptix family is the PS21, a compact transducer that’s optimized for a trolling motor because of its lighter weight and smaller size. The PS21 offers the most attractive Panoptix feature, LiveVü Forward, and works with a number of Garmin GPSMAP and echoMAP CHIRP chartplotters to allow the angler to see real-time moving sonar images ahead of and around their boat.
With Garmin Panoptix on board, fisherman can now see real-time sonar imagery at video-like speed. Unlike traditional or scanning sonar that only provides historical data of what’s been passed over, LiveVü Forward shows an image of fish swimming and moving toward or away from the boat – even while stationary – in real time and up to 100 feet away. Anglers can see their lure as they cast and retrieve it, pinpoint its relationship to structure and watch the fish react to their bait.
For the ultimate fishing experience, inland anglers can pair the Panoptix PS21 with the newest line of Garmin combo units – the echoMAP CHIRP series. This new combo series features built-in CHIRP traditional sonar and CHIRP DownVü and SideVü, and the 7-inch and 9-inch devices also offer support for all Panoptix models, including the new PS21. The PS21 is also compatible with the GPSMAP 74/7600 series, the GPSMAP 8000/8500 series, along with the GPSMAP 7×1, 8×0, 10×0 series chartplotters.
Panoptix LiveVü Forward is the most unique and compelling Panoptix view, and we know freshwater anglers will agree. Now, with the new compact PS21, this all-seeing sonar technology is available to an even broader range of anglers and at an attractive price point of $999.99.
