Fitness photo frenzy, part 3

Forerunner_stretchJessica may live and work in the big city, but she finds time to pursue her real passion — which is just about anything that keeps her in perpetual motion. Running, surfing, whitewater kayaking, triathlons and mountain or road biking. Jessica grew up in Kernville, California, a major river town. She says she owes her river knowledge to her mother, whom she describes as “an amazing paddler and an all-around everything woman.” Jessica got her first kayak at the age of 10 and spent summers traveling to various rivers with her mom, who coached her in slalom racing.

Standing_on_pier When she’s not working it out on the waves, roads and rivers, Jessica works as a clinical research associate for a biomedical company. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, on the Central Coast. Outside of sports, her other interests include travel and photography. An upcoming trip to New Zealand promises plenty of all her favorite pursuits.

Jessica’s races:
Tris — Wildflower, San Fransciso Tri
Road cycling — Sea Otter Classic, Zamora Road Race, Sausalito Criterium
Rivers she’s paddled — Kern, Kings, Tuolome, American (CA), Payette (Idaho), Colorado and many others
