Connect IQ: Wind/Kite Surfing Data Field
Summer if officially here and it’s time to get back on the water. If you like wind surfing or kite surfing you can now see which speeds you reach while on the water. With the Wind/Kite Surfing data field from @FIN151, you can track the speeds of every ride using your Garmin smart watch and Connect IQ.
In real time your watch will display your best 2-second run, 10-second run and top 5 runs that are 10 seconds long. There can be only one 10 sec run per session and a session ends after you turn your board or when your speed falls below 8 knots. On the Forerunner 920XT, @FINI151 suggests using a 1-field layout. With this layout you can alternate between two screens. One screen shows 2 sec, 10 sec and 5×10 sec, and the other screen shows all of your 10 sec runs individually. The colors indicate how close each session run is to each other. The greener the bars and the closer the bars are to each other, the better.
The wind surfing/kite surfing data field is compatible with the Forerunner, 920XT, vívoactive, fenix 3, Epix and can be downloaded here! Remember to share your surf sessions and adventures with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram by using hashtag #Garmin or #ConnectIQ.
