Canadian Fishing Team Wins Big with Garmin

Galway-Cavendish and Harvey-20140621-00644For the Garmin fishing team of Corey and Chris Johnston, June ended on a fishing high note.  Corey and Chris have the latest Garmin fishing gear on their boat and competed in a Tri-Lake Pro Bass Tournament in Ontario, the Mighty Mucks Bass Open to be specific.  The yearly tournament takes place on Chemong, Buckhorn and Pigeon Lakes and Chris and Corey were amongst 95 other teams that were fishing for large and smallmouth bass.

After the dust settled and all the fish were caught, Corey and Chris had a final weigh-in of 21.15 lbs. which was good enough to win the tournament!  They took home a nice cash prize of nearly $5,000 and bragging rights over the other competing 95 teams.

On board, they used 2 GPSMAP 1040xs chartplotters, a GCV 10 sounder black box (for DownVu and SideVu sonar) and Canada LakeVu HD Ultra for mapping.

Great job, Chris and Corey!  Best of luck fishing the rest of the year!
