Looking for adventure this summer that will take you outdoors? Check out the world of geocaching. If you’re not quite sure what geocaching is, that’s totally fine, just be sure to look at our previous blog post explaining the basics. You can find plenty of places to cache near you, but you may be wondering where the best places to cache in the U.S. are. Here are a few spots we recommend:

  • Eternal Flame Falls Earthcache. Located in Orchard Park, New York, there is a lot of fun to be found apart from the geocache. Whether it’s discovering Chestnut Ridge County Park where the cache is located, exploring the city of Buffalo or even venturing north to Canada, there is more to the cache than the description has.
  • 0001-E.T. The name of this cache may be a little confusing, but it starts to make sense after you notice it’s located near Extraterrestrial Highway in Alamo, Nevada. This is the most famous power trail on the planet and is located just north of Las Vegas. With a few smaller mountains around this location, there’s no shortage of things to catch your eye.
  • Rock City Earthcache. If you find yourself in the middle of the U,S, and near Minneapolis, Kansas then make your way to Rock City Park. This National Natural Landmark boasts of some unique scenery with the clusters of giant boulders. The concretions will definitely intrigue you, and will even aid you in finding the cache.
