New_picture The FAA captured pilots’ attention today when it announced that beginning in 2007 WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) will be extended to 200 feet above an airport’s surface for vertical instrument approaches.  So, what the heck is WAAS? It’s a system that provides GPS correction signals and gives you nearly five times better position accuracy. Garmin already has numerous WAAS products, and we’re always working on more. Stay tuned…
