Vector draws a crowd at Interbike

If it's better to be busy than bored, then our week at Interbike has been amazing. We've been displaying and demonstrating Vector, our new pedal-based power system, as well as the newly announced Edge 200 that simplifies the stats during and after your ride. Time and again during our stay in Vegas, we heard from retailers, journalists and other industry experts that our booth was the busiest they'd seen on the entire show floor. People were lining up to hop on one of three Cervelo bikes to test Vector for themselves, and they were immediately impressed with what they saw. Professional triathlete/model Jenny Fletcher took Vector for a spin and is already obsessed with monitoring the left-right balance in her pedaling efficiency – even in flip-flops. And Outside magazine gave Vector the coveted "Gear of the Show" award, an honor given to only five products among the thousands at the show.

And while it may have been the star, Vector wasn't the only attraction at our booth. Edge 200 appealed to cyclists and shop owners looking for an entry-level device to introduce them to riding with GPS data. Showing how far and how fast while gathering stats that can be uploaded after the ride, Edge 200 packs quite a bit into its $150 price. We also loved having our athletes stop by and say hi. Garmin-Cervelo pros Dave Zabriskie, Ryder Hesjedal and Danny Summerhill met fans and signed autographs. And we enjoyed spending quality time with Garmin-sponsored triathletes Ben Collins, Pip Taylor and Matt Lieto, who remind us that we have the best focus group imaginable. So even though Interbike is winding down, the excitement for our cycling products is heating up more than ever!
