Plan ahead by creating courses, workouts and goals on Garmin Connect


Josh and Jenny crop Many of you got a sneak peek at new features recently for Garmin Connect, and we're thrilled to say that they're back to stay. The two biggest parts of the update are Course Creator and Workout Creator. With Course Creator, you can quickly draw your course of choice – or simply choose starting and ending points, and drag and drop any changes – and upload to your compatible Garmin device. Workout Creator helps you plan your interval, customized and simple workouts from your computer and then upload to your device to knock them out. And once you're viewing the details for your completed ride or run, you can click Compare to see how that outing stacked up against similar others.

With this new release, you can also create a goal with a past start date, as long as your goal end date remains in the future. And the new annual goal option lets you easily set a goal to track throughout the entire year. And if your training plans or objectives change, you can delete goals as you adapt to a new schedule. And as always, all of these features are free!
