U23 cyclist Kyle Torres has the Edge

When I took off from the start ramp it was a huge adrenaline rush having all the cowbells ringing and people cheering. I wound up getting a decent time too and placed 12th out of the amateurs. My Edge 705 was great to have for this because when I was pre-riding the course the day before, I used the map on my 705 to know where to go on unfamiliar roads and during the race it was great to have my heart rate and speed monitored very accurately. There are not many cycling computers that are as accurate as the Edge 705. Another way I used my 705 was on the way home from the time trial I was craving Del Taco, so I just took out my 705 and searched for the nearest Del Taco and within minutes, it took me right there.

Kyle Torres3 My other racing has been going great. So far my biggest win of the year was the Southern Nevada Stage Race. On the first stage, I won the time trial and managed to keep my lead through the three stages.  I also did pretty well in the Valley of The Sun Stage Race (a stage race in Phoenix, Arizona). In this race I won the time trial which was the first stage but then over the next two stages I lost some time and ended up fourth overall. My Edge was very helpful in this race because in the road race stage, I did not know where a turn was but I just turned the map on then I knew exactly where it was. This was a great reminder for me as to what a great advantage it is to use a Garmin.
