The Domestique NYC

Traveling out-of-state with a bike can be a major hassle. James Phillips, director of The Domestique in Manhattan, New York alleviates this logistical burden by providing a premium guided road cycling experience for cyclists visiting the city without their bike.

Phillips equips his high-spec BMC carbon road bikes with Garmin cycling products including Vector pedals, Edge 800 and Edge 500.

“I really like the interface that Garmin uses, it’s intuitive, it has all the features I need for training,” Phillips said. “Most of my clients use Garmin’s at home so it’s a nice surprise for them when it’s on the bike ready to go. If they want a different page set up, it’s so easy!”

If you find yourself in Manhattan without a bike, visit http://www.thedomestique.cc to book a guided tour.  There are several rides to choose from that vary in duration, time, endurance, and landscape.  Depending on what the client is interested in, Phillips can design a custom route based on the their personal needs and wants.

“The Domestique is an extension of me, I love meeting people and finding out about their experiences on and off the bike. I’m so lucky to meet people from all over the world, It’s amazing to show them the great cycling just beyond the city,” said Phillips.
