Geocaching is a real-life outdoor treasure hunt that utilizes GPS technologies to discover different treasures all around us. The Leap
There is no room for error with this one. Located in Arizona, this cache is considered one of the most dangerous to attain in the world. Before even coming close to the infamous leap, one must hike upwards into deceitful surroundings with vertical terrain, huge cliffs, massive rock formations and thick brush and wildflowers. Once you’re atop the major rock formations, the cache lies only a few feet away, but on a separate rock pillar 4-5 feet away. This is where the cache’s name comes from. In order to reach the cache, you have to jump the gap from one formation to the next, and then back. A fall from this height would almost certainly mean death so this cache is not for the faint of heart.
Mount Everest
Who’s up for a quick climb to the top of the world? Hidden at almost 30,000 ft. above sea level lies another one of the most challenging geocaches on the planet. It takes just the right combination of climbing and mountaineering skills, but is definitely attainable for some. Also known as Earth’s Roof, this cache will absolutely have challenges. Taking into account the cost of the travel, gear, training, weather changes, and time spent, this is likely one of most difficult geocaches to be found.
