The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 is finally underway. The aircraft parking and campgrounds are already filling up as pilots and aviation enthusiasts flock to Wisconsin. In a town where just over 66,000 is the normal population, hundreds of thousands of visitors will descend on the city over the course of this week.
This year’s edition of ‘Oshkosh,’ as it’s commonly referred to as, includes unique aircraft, concerts, workshops and more. There is just as much excitement inside our booth as there is surrounding the airshow itself. With a bevy of product announcements including our new Flight Stream 510 cockpit connectivity solution, G5 electronic flight instrument for certified aircraft, and even the latest features added to our mobile phone and tablet app Garmin Pilot, there are products on display for pilots of all levels.

You’ll also have opportunities to hear first hand about our G3X Touch experimental flight display from Red Bull Air Race pilots and airshow performers Michael Goulian and Pete McLeod. Goulian will stop by our booth Wednesday, July 27th, for an autograph session from 1-1:45 p.m., then speak about flying with Garmin products in our Portables seminar immediately following at 2. Pete McLeod will be on-site Thursday, July 28th, and Friday, July 29th talking with fans and sharing his experiences flying with the G3X Touch as well. He will be signing autographs in our booth at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, and talking G3X Touch in our booth at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Also be sure to stop by on Wednesday as we’ll have the Red Bull Air Race Oculus flight simulator available for those who have ever dreamed of flying in the Red Bull Air Race.
