Last year, we were proud to follow Captain Steve Sprague and Team Tuppens and watch them fulfill their dream of fishing in the Southern Kingfish Association Nationals in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Now, the 2014 season has started and Steve and the Team are riding that momentum into the tournaments they're fishing this year.

First up was the Pompano Saltwater Shootout that took place on May 10th.  Steve and Team Tuppens faced choppy waters that made the tournament more difficult to fish.  Below is some footage that Steve shot with his Garmin VIRB that shows just what kind of conditions they were facing.  Despite rough waters, Team Tuppens caught 7 Kingfish, 1 Dolphin and 2 Cobia.  They were only 1 fish shy of taking home a nice cash payout and placing.  For a tournament that had over 120 boats fishing and bad weather conditions, Team Tuppens did a great job.

Next up was the the 33rd Annual Boynton Beach Kiwanis Fishing Tournament that took place last Saturday, May 17th at the Palm Beach Yacht Center.  Steve and the team went in with a lot of confidence from the previous tournament and ended up placing 1st in Boynton and caught the biggest fish!  Below, you can see Steve and the team with their catches and their first place trophies!

You can also fish like Steve and Team Tuppens.  On the boat, Team Tuppens utilizes multiple GPSMAP Glass Helm 8215 MFD units, a GSD 26 CHIRP sounder box, a 1204 xHD open array radar and more.

Congratulations on the great work so far this year, Team Tuppens!  Keep up the good work and keep reeling them in!
