Team Garmin: Blake bounces back quickly
It’s amazing to think that Blake Caldwell would be spinning his wheels a week after his frightening crash in the Tour of Missouri, but that’s exactly what happened. Here are a few excerpts from his recent post on the Team Garmin blog: "So it’s been a little more than a week since my crash and there hasn’t been a day yet without significant progress in my healing. … At first, it was difficult moving around without the help of a wheelchair. However, my hip and collarbone have made fast progress since. By mid-week, I was able to walk around by myself, even if a little awkwardly. Now the soreness in my hip and collarbone has been improving daily. I even got on the trainer for a few minutes yesterday!"
Blake shares his appreciation for everyone’s support on the Team Garmin blog, which is a great spot to check for updates because many of them are written by the cyclists themselves. To revisit Blake’s trip to Garmin headquarters and the whole team’s trek through Missouri this month, check out our Flickr page and YouTube channel. And stay tuned for exciting news from Interbike this week in Las Vegas!
