Last week at AERO 2015 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the readers of Flieger magazine voted G3X Touch as #1 in the category of “ Most Innovative Avionics’ of the year! We are thrilled to receive such a prestigious award but most importantly, we’re honored that our customers have enjoyed flying behind G3X Touch to vote it as the best-in-class!
G3X Touch was announced just over a year ago prior to Sun ‘n Fun 2014 and has been very well received among the pilots of many experimental and amateur-built aircraft. G3X Touch features an infrared touchscreen display with a simple user-interface, which is easy to learn and offers easy access to important information in-flight. Our 10.6-inch and 7-inch displays give our customers a variety of display options and puts state-of-the-art technology at your fingertips while offering incredible installation flexibility. In addition to our award-winning G3X Touch system (and just as worthy of an award!), last week the G500/G600 glass flight displays received a new software update that introduces a number of enhancements that bring a wealth of new capabilities to these systems. Pilots will notice a new, vibrant presentation that includes a faster, modernized mapping display, which was leveraged from the rich mapping capabilities within the GTN touchscreen series. Additionally, we’ve introduced Vantage ADS-B integration within the G500/G600 with the optional GDL 88 ADS-B datalink, enabling the display of safety enhancing ADS-B traffic and weather on the G500/G600. Geo-referenced FliteCharts terminal approach procedures also add an elevated level of situational awareness while flying Instrument Approach Proedures (IAPs).
