GrittyThe weather is finally turning fair here in the heartland and cyclists are venturing out, white legs and all. But out in Monterey and other mild locales, serious cyclists are at the peak of their training, gearing up for the 2007 Sea Otter Classic, which Garmin sponsors. Some have even been training with SOC courses downloaded to their Garmin Edge or Forerunner. Our online division, MotionBased, developed the course maps, which let cyclists navigate a route using a map and elevation profile, while providing real-time course information. Even cooler than the course maps is MotionBased’s helmet-cam video synced with a moving dot on the map and elevation profile. Hang on tight on that Super-D course and try not to duck when the XC course takes you into the trees!
