NASCAR Visits the Pretty Paperclip

070325_bristol_03lg070325_bristol_04lgThe NASCAR Nextel Cup and Craftsman Truck series both descend on Martinsville, Virginia this weekend — the racing circuit’s smallest, shortest, and oldest track currently on the circuit.  All of that makes for some very intense racing.

In the Nextel, Best Buy/Garmin driver Jeff Green comes into the weekend with an impressive sixth place finish last weekend at Bristol.  If past is prologue, Green will do well this weekend too — he placed eighth at Martinsville last year.

A couple weeks back, we visited Jeff in Atlanta, and took a cool video of one of his pit stops (he and teammate Johnny Sauter swapped sponsors for this race, which is why he’s not in the Best Buy car).

13402_1024ts117250972400013399_1024ts1172509426000Prior to Sunday’s race, Craftsman Truck series racer Chad McCumbee will also be looking forward to some old-school short track racing when he climbs in the #08 theGPSStore.com/Garmin Chevy.  Chad’s last two Craftsman starts at Martinsville have been solid, so he’s looking to repeat on Saturday as well.

Good luck to both drivers!!!
