Seattle is a great boating city and this year will be a stopover in the Clipper Round the World Race. Before arriving in Seattle’s Bell Harbor, the Clipper fleet will have traveled nearly 6,000 miles from China and across the world’s largest ocean, over the International Date Line and after around 30 days, finally have the chance to sit down for some good eats. After a few days of R&R, Leg 7 in the Clipper Around the World Race will launch out of Bell Harbor, en route to New York.

Here are 3 things the Clipper Crew cannot wait to do when they reach Seattle.

  1. Eat the local food
  2. Visit the Space Needle
  3. Take a much-needed nap
