Scenes from the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show

Lauderdale2010 XHD We’re in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., nicknamed the “Yachting Capital of the World,” at the 2010 boat show – and boy is this city living up to its name. In the Garmin booth (we’re in a new space this year: Bahia Mar Electronics tent, #320-324), we’re showing off everything from the popular GPSMAP 740 with its 7-inch touchscreen and preloaded coastal charts, to the powerful 15-inch touchscreen GPSMAP 7215 and xHD open array radars, to new GHP 12 sailboat autopilot.

Hampton 630Hampton helmWhen we had a chance to sneak away from the booth to walk the show floor and the docks outside, we can’t help but notice all of Garmin equipment installed on so many of the boats that are being showed off. From the new EdgeWater 220 InShore center console to a 72-foot Grand Banks and 63-foot Hampton yacht – there’s Garmin everywhere you look.
