Running for a Cause

Img_0932Rain or shine, there are a lot of things to look forward to in Garmin Land this weekend.  Locally, Garmin is sponsoring the Hospital Hill Run on Saturday, June 2nd, in downtown Kansas City. This year marks the introduction of a new distance, the 10K, in addition to the 5K, and half marathon runs. All events from Hospital Hill– a not-for-profit organization who’s goal is to promote healthy lifestyles– will go to help support the Saint Luke’s Center for Women’s Care. So come on out tomorrow… there’s something for everyone.  Plus, our very own Peg is running, and she might even be able to offer some tips and tricks on how you can use Forerunner as your personal trainer. Hope to see you there!

In addition, Garmin is also sponsoring the Rock and Roll Marathon on Sunday, June 3rd, in San Diego, CA.  This marathon will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend, attracting over 20,000 runners.  Runners of this 26.2 mile course will take an expanded tour of downtown, travel up beautiful Highway 163, race by Sea World and will cross the finish line at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Point Loma. Sounds like fun! We wish everyone safe travels to San Diego, and happy running!
