Recap of the 2015 Dominion Riverock Outdoor Festival
Recently, Garmin was an official sponsor at the 2015 Dominion Riverrock Festival in Richmond, Virginia on May 15-17. Riverrock is one of America’s foremost outdoor lifestyle festivals that brings together outdoor athletes, musicians, thousands of spectators, and even man’s best friend for a three-day outdoor celebration. The event was situated alongside the beautiful framework of downtown Richmond’s urban riverfront and this year the turnout was beyond expectations.
This year, Garmin had a fundamental role at the Riverrock Festival by capturing footage of all the outdoor contests with our new VIRB XE action camera. The festival features a variety of outdoor sports including trail running, kayaking, biking, bouldering, slacklining, stand up paddle boarding, and even dog jumping. The VIRB XE is the perfect tool for capturing all of the extreme moments at the festival. Also, to contribute to the overall theme of Riverrock, Garmin’s presence at the event helped introduce new products for outdoor training like our new line of smart watches and Vector 2 cycling pedals. We understand the challenges that come with living an active and healthy outdoor lifestyle, which is why we were so honored to be a part of the event this year and showcase how our products can enhance your lifestyle.
