Panoptix a Hit at Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship
The team of Brandon Houston and Brandon Knapmeyer from Northern Kentucky University caught a total of 43.84 pounds of giant Pickwick Lake bass, en route to winning the 2015 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. Garmin is a proud sponsor of this circuit for aspiring anglers.
Over two days, the team from NKU stayed consistent and won by a mere .14lbs over the second place team from the University of North Alabama.
While the winning team wasn’t lucky enough to win the extra $1,000 offered by Garmin through the Grand Giveaway, they came home with a total of $6,000 in prize money and contingencies.
The night before the tournament began, anglers lined up to speak with the event’s sponsors. Garmin was on hand to showcase its new 2015 lineup, including the game-changing Panoptix and GPSMAP 7600xsv series combo units. Anglers came away very impressed and by the end of the night and many vowed to make the switch to Garmin.
