New at OpenCaching.com: Email alerts and Virtual Cache discussion
Thanks, everyone, for your continued feedback for OpenCaching.com! Based on your suggestions, we continue to introduce innovative new features and enhancements to make your caching experiences even more enjoyable. Here are just a few new things going on at OpenCaching.com:
Email Notifications: We’re working our way through your most requested features, and this was a biggie. Right now, you can get an email for two different types of events, and more options will be added in the future.
- When someone logs a geocache you own: This is turned on by default, you can turn it off on your interests page.
- When a new geocache is added that matches one of your saved searches: You will need to turn this on for each saved search that you want to be emailed about. You can turn emails on and off for each saved search on your interests page.
Virtual caches: We recently posted a proposal and suggested guidelines for adding virtual caches to OpenCaching.com. We would love you to join the discussion at https://forums.opencaching.com/showthread.php?260-Virtual-Caches.
Cache icons: They've been updated to make it a little easier to tell them apart.
Chirp-a-day Giveaway: We continue to give away a chirp each day to cache creators! So get out there and get caching!
