NBAA News — G1000 for Turboprops
First, we’ve expanded our King Air G1000 retrofit program to include the King Air 200 and B200. Anyone lucky enough to fly a King Air knows they have an amazing airplane, and those who pimp their ride with the G1000 retrofit will quickly become the envy of nearly every pilot out there. The G1000 equipped King Air 200 and B200 has it all — two large PFDs and one large MFD; GFC 700 three axis, fully digital, dual channel, fail passive automatic flight control; Class-B WAAS; TAWS; AHRS; SafeTaxi; ChartView; FliteCharts; and more! We’re also in the final stages of the King Air C90 STC. If you’re flying a King Air C90 and haven’t placed your order with one of our authorized retrofit dealers, you’d better act quickly. The prime spots are going fast and you don’t want to be left behind!
Second, the G1000 is now the standard avionics package on Cessna’s Caravan. The Caravan is an extremely versatile airplane that goes just about everywhere and does just about everything. The G1000 will make a great addition to the Caravan, and I think future Caravan owners will quickly feel right at home. Especially when you consider that many Caravan pilots have flown other Cessna single engine piston airplanes that are already equipped with the G1000.
