Latest Garmin Connect release adds form and function

For those who love blogging about your endeavors we've added the Embed feature. Now you can add your Public workouts to your blog.

Also included in this release was the highly requested ability to Edit Summary data. Now you can edit all metrics of any GPS recorded activity, as well as any Manually added activity. This is a fantastic advantage for those of us who have forgotten to press Stop at the end of our run or bike ride. Instead of trying to edit a .TCX file, or contacting support to edit the .TCX file, you can simply click the pencil icon at the top of the Summary and edit any necessary metrics.

Elev correction Elevation Corrections have also made their way to the site. For new uploads Corrections will be applied automatically (for activities recorded with non-barometric altimeter enabled devices). For previously uploaded activities you will need to enable Corrections for each individual activity.

Updated and improved Time, Speed, HR & Power metrics are also available. For any activity you can easily toggle between Speed and Pace.  Heart Rate can be easily analyzed by switching between BPM, %Max and Zones. Cyclists will love the toggle between Watts and Zones when analyzing their Power. All great tools for taking your training to the next level.

Speed, pace toggle HR toggleExplore was given a face lift. The sleek new UI offers up a larger map and a bolder list of Activities. In addition, RSS feeds were updated and are based on search results. While Explore has seen great improvements, we will continue updating the search features. Check out these tips to improve search results.

Thanks again for your patience while we perfected and got this release out. We'll be following up with more How To's and information with subsequent posts. Happy training!
