Jake’s Journal: Your Team Garmin Tour guide
Next week at this time, I’ll be watching the elite cyclists of Team Garmin unveil the new kits and vehicle designs at the Tour de France. Better yet, rather than seeing the new look through the eyes of reporters and photographers, I’ll be basking in the retooled Slipstream argyle with my own eyes. Yep, I’m hopping the ocean to be your liaison to one of the most watched, most grueling and most captivating sagas in sports.
OK, in the interest of full disclosure, I’ll be passing the baton after the first week and relaying my colleagues’ reports back home. But I’m the blogger on call for Team Garmin’s opening festivities and the first four stages. From Brest to Plumelec, Auray to Saint-Brieuc, Saint-Malo to Nantes and wrapping up with the time trial in Cholet. So shoot me an e-mail.
