Giving Tuesday

Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday, and Cyber Monday have come and gone. Now it’s time to focus on the true reason for the season. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving which kicks-off the charitable season and is often fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. We urge you to get involved in your community! Don’t know where to begin? Search this directory to find organizations, charities and events close to home. Garmin International is involved with multiple organizations, each having their own charitable beneficiary that supports our hometown, the Kansas City and Olathe areas.

WIN for KC: The Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City works to ignite girls and women through advocating and promoting the value of sports and fitness as well as leadership development. Garmin is the presenting sponsor and is involved with the organization for the Win for KC Women’s Triathlon.

Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation: Garmin is also involved with the KC Marathon which benefits the KC Sports Commission & Foundation. The foundation aims to promote sports and recreation at every level in the KC metropolitan area which in turn helps our bi-state region realize the economic, social and community building benefits of sports.

Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund: Each year, Garmin helps put together the Garmin Marathon in Olathe, Kansas, the home of Garmin International Headquarters. The marathon benefits the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, which supports local charities meeting the most critical needs of the community, including food, health care, clothing, shoes and school supplies.

Bike MS: This bike ride raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which funds research and offers programs and services for those who face challenges with multiple sclerosis each day. The ride starts and finishes at Garmin in Olathe, Kansas, and is an incredible two-day journey filled with support and camaraderie.
