Get the Garmin Astro for the Upcoming Bird Hunting Season
Hunting season is upon us, and many of us are taking to the fields and forests with our canine companions, and many hunters are taking the Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking System along with them as well. No longer is it necessary to guess where your dog is or what he’s up to — the Astro tracks up to ten dogs up to nine miles away.
And the Astro, like most of Garmin’s outdoor handheld devices, can be loaded with maps public hunting lands that are provided by many states or other third-party providers. So not only do you know where your dog is, but you know that you’re hunting on legal grounds.
Last fall, we visited central Montana to field test the Astro — relying on it heavily for tracking dogs and helping us find huntable land. Watch the video below to see the Astro in action — even if you’re not a hunter, you’ll appreciate the beautiful vistas that the Astro showed us.
