Geocaching for History in KC

Kc_history_tour_054Kc_history_tour_027Kc_history_tour_036Over the weekend, dozens of geocachers gathered in Kansas City for a five-county historical tour — using GPS as their guide.  If you’ve got a handheld GPS and are looking for new ways to use it, you really should try geocaching.  Part of the fun is the thrill of the hunt — but these folks turned their event into a history lesson.  The all-day event also featured a tasty meal, giveaways (including Garmin schwag), and geocoins.
