Garmin vívofit 2: Moving Beyond the Basics


After you get started with vívofit 2, it’s time to move beyond the basics and track calories, compete in challenges, time activities and take advantage of the heart rate monitor¹ options.

Vivofit 2 - Calorie Tracking

If you want to keep track of the calories you burn, vívofit 2 can help. Creating an account on MyFitnessPal and linking it with Garmin Connect will allow you to track the calories you consume as well. The combination will help you stay on track with a fitness regime and eating healthier. 

Vivofit 2 - Heart Rate

If you want to get even more accurate calorie burn information, pair vívofit 2 with a heart rate monitor¹. This will allow you to record your heart rate and zone data. 

Vivofit 2 - Step Challenge

While burning all of those calories, take advantage and compete in the online challenge features on Garmin Connect against other vívofit 2 users.  Enter in weekly challenges to see who takes the most steps and claim bragging rights when you reach the top of the leaderboard.

You can also create a special group in Garmin Connect with family and friends. Everyone in the group will be able to see the progress you are making. This is a great way to motivate each other to earn more steps!

Vivofit 2 - Timed Activities

Another new feature in vívofit 2 is the ability to time activities. Simply press and hold the vívofit 2 button until “START” is displayed.  Now get out there and see how far you can walk or run in a certain amount of time.
