Garmin pro Scott Martin wins fourth FLW victory
Last weekend Garmin-sponsored pro angler, Scott Martin, claimed the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, AK - his fourth FLW tour victory! Scott, the face of Garmin's "I'll echo that" campaign and host of The Scott Martin Challenge, captured this major championship title with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds 5 ounces, boosting his FLW Outdoors earnings to nearly $2 million. After his win, Scott said, "I think the biggest factor when you win a tournament is confidence. The first day of the tournament I caught a couple of real big fish right off the bat and I told my partner, 'I can win the tournament in this spot.' Low and behold, that's exactly what happened." That "spot" was found after alternating between shallow and deep water during practice, and like you'll hear in the video below, that challenge of finding the fish is what it's all about for Scott. Congratulations again to Scott on his fourth FLW win!
