"The Molokai Channel is my Everest. I've given it 10 years of my life. I've done the preparation, and I'm looking forward to putting it all to work", said Mitchell, who resides in Queensland, Australia. "The Molokai is one of those races where you can't afford to slack off on anything – hydration, nutrition, the course, your fitness, your equipment. You've got to piece it all together and they need to be right on key on the day."

Jenny Also competing this weekend is stand-up paddler and Garmin sponsored athlete Jenny Kalmbach. Kalmbach, who grew up in San Jose, Costa Rica attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and later moved to Hawaii. Living so close to the sea her entire life, she admits, "I am fortunate to spend so much time in the ocean doing what I enjoy and to be able share that passion with others."Jenny

Kalmbach is "stoked" to be a part of the Garmin team and is eager to get the word out within the SUP  community about the benefits of Garmin's products. Well Jenny, we are just as stoked and can't wait to cheer both you and Jamie on this weekend. Maikaʻi Pomaikaʻi! (Good luck!)

Live race updates will be broadcast on Facebook and Twitter and be sure to follow @garmin.
