Garmin G5000 soars high into the Part 25 aircraft market
Tomorrow is the opening day of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention, and today is press day. During Garmin's press conference this morning, we unveiled the G5000, our new touchscreen avionics system. This state-of-the-art flight deck is specifically for Part 25 aircraft. For those of you who aren't familiar with aviation lingo, "Part 25" means the G5000 meets the requirements necessary for large jets. This is the first time Garmin has offered a fully integrated avionics suite for this class of aircraft and we're confident the market will like it. In case you're curious, our existing G1000 and G3000 systems are for Part 23 aircraft, and generally speaking that's smaller business jets or aircraft with propellers.
