Garmin electronics aid Boston Whaler’s 350 Challenger in SAR operations
The 350 Challenger is the largest Boston Whaler cabin boat offered by Brunswick Commercial and Government Products, a manufacturer of watercraft for the government and workboat markets. Popular in commercial and military applications because of its durability and "unsinkable" construction, this 35-foot Boston Whaler was recently delivered to the Lorain County Sheriff's Department in Ohio, where it will be used to patrol the border between the U.S. and Canada on Lake Erie. In addition to its awesome exterior, the 350 Challenger is equipped with the latest and greatest in marine electronics, including dual GPSMAP 7215 MFDs and Garmin's GHP 10 autopilot that the Sheriff's Department will be using to aid in their rescue and law enforcement duties. We're honored to be selected by Boston Whaler, and we're confident that those onboard the new 350 Challenger will benefit from the GPSMAP 7215's unprecedented speed and detailed BlueChart g2 cartography as well as the GHP 10's Shadow Drive technology that automatically disengaged the autopilot if the helm is turned, allowing the helmsman to maneuver the boat.
