Garmin at Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In: Day 1
With sunny skies, 80-degree weather and no sign of rain in sight, this is perfect weather for the first day of the 40th annual Sun ‘n Fun airshow. On the heels of our announcement of G3X Touch last week, pilots came out in full force to see the latest from Garmin. We’re here at the show, having a great time, and enjoying what has come to be referred to as “spring break for pilots.” Here’s what’s going on this year inside the Garmin booth:
We’re Celebrating!
Can you believe it’s already been over three years since we introduced the GTN series to the avionics industry? Neither can we! Be sure to stop by our booth at Sun ‘n Fun to check them out alongside a G500/G600 mock-up panel.
G3X Touch
Since we were so excited to bring G3X Touch to Sun ‘n Fun today, we hosted a brief press conference prior to the show opening. Based on the reaction of the media, you’ll certainly want to make time to stop by Garmin’s booth! The newest addition to experimental avionics solutions, G3X Touch offers pilots a high-resolution 10.6-inch infrared touchscreen flight display. G3X Touch is configurable, so pilots can choose to view PFD, MFD and engine information, on a single display. Based on what we’ve heard at Sun ‘n Fun so far today, pilots agree that G3X Touch is intuitive, streamlines flight planning and there’s no question – offers an impressive avionics solution for aircraft homebuilders, at a great price!

We have a full schedule of seminars every day this week, which are led by Garmin product experts.
