FeaturepegspostsLook around at the starting line of your next race. Chances are, you’re seeing more and more Garmin Forerunners ready to give runners an accurate account of their time, distance, pace and heart rate. This pic shows a few Garmin associates/Forerunner devotees who’ve been blazing through local races and claiming age group awards. If you’re a new Forerunner 405 user, be sure to do some trial runs before you hit the starting line of your next race. One of the coolest features — the touch-sensitive bezel — can also throw runners for a loop when first getting used to it. Check out our series of short training videos where Jake demos the features and functions of the Forerunner 405. Click on the video titled Touch Bezel for a step-by-step demo of how to touch, tap and scroll your way through menu options. Now that we’re nearing the fall and winter running months, you may want some options to keep the screen from changing if your long sleeve brushes it. In the video, Jake explains how to change the bezel sensitivity and how to lock the bezel so the screen doesn’t change. To lock or unlock the bezel, just hold the start/stop and lap/reset buttons. Jake also shows how to set up auto scroll so Forerunner seamlessly scrolls through your training pages.
