Meridian4 The G1000 is now available as avionics for the six-seat Piper Meridian airplane. Since certifications efforts have been going on for awhile in secret, not only will the G1000 be coming to future Piper Meridian, Piper already has airplanes certified and ready for delivery. The G1000 equipped Piper Meridian has all the bells-and-whistles you'd expect from an airplane of this caliber including a fully-integrated GFC 700 autopilot, Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), FliteCharts, SafeTaxi and more. Those attending Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, Florida, next week will have a chance to see a G1000 equipped Piper Meridian, and it's definitely something you'll want to see!

For the aviation history buffs, the G1000 was first announced in July 2003. Since that time, it has been selected by 11 different aircraft manufacturers as the avionics suite for more than 30 aircraft models.
