FLIBS day 2 – GDL 40, OEMs and more

After a successful first day at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, we're on to a busy day two. We've greeted many customers on the stand who are eager to learn more about our wide array of touchscreen plotters – from the 7-inch standalone GPSMAP 740s with radar and sonar capability to a full range of Photonetworked plotters ranging in size from 15- to 8-inches, we really do have something for every size boat. Garmin's GDL 40 cellular weather receiver has been a popular item at the show, too. For just $5.99 a day, mariners can get weather info delivered to their plotter when they need it most…without having to pay for weather data on the days they're not going to use it. This screen is live from the show, giving us a clear picture of the storm that's making it's way toward Florida.

We've also had a chance to walk the docks at the show and have been pleased to see Garmin-equipped boats everywhere we look. From the fleet of Grand Banks trawler yachts, to Intrepid and Contender center consles, to the new 58-foot Horizon luxury yacht – our OEMs are proud to show off their Garmin equipment on board, too. One of our OEMs, Maritimo, is even offering a free Garmin electronics package with the purchase of a new boat at the show. In case you can't make it to Fort Lauderdale this weekend, here are some images to bring the show to you.
