Fishing Pro Staffer Rolling in the Wins with Garmin
Last month, we told you about Bob Laskey, a member of our Garmin fishing pro staff that won a local SUBA (Southern Utah Bass Anglers) fishing tournament with Garmin fishing electronics on board. Although he was happy about his win, Bob wasn’t content and set out to fish the Sand Hollow August Night Tournament at Quail Creek in Hurricane, Utah. This tournament posed a new challenge though: fishing took place from 5:00 PM until 2:00 AM the next morning. Different tournament, different circumstances, same end result.
Bob and his fishing partner ended up weighing 4 fish per the allotment allowed by local fish and gaming laws and they weighed in at 20lbs-1oz. That total ended up netting them a tournament victory! Bob and his partner went home with wallets a little fuller, a nice plaque and, most importantly for any tournament, bragging rights.
