EBACE: Day 2 – Five Reasons to Attend EBACE in Switzerland!
Day two is in full swing at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition today and it’s been a great show, which has been full of several exciting announcements so far. The weather has been perfect and the Swiss Alps provide a beautiful backdrop among all of these amazing aircraft but as promised yesterday, I am giving you five reasons you will want to visit Garmin at EBACE!
1. European FliteCharts
Pilots around the world now have access to European terminal charts, including instrument approach charts, SIDs, STARs, and airport diagrams. European FliteCharts are the most recent addition to our growing list of worldwide aviation chart products. Be sure see how they look on our equipment at the show!
2. Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B)
The mandate to comply with ADS-B is only 2052 days away but who’s counting? Aircraft owners and operators will need to have their aircraft equipped to broadcast ADS-B ‘Out’ by January 1, 2020. Each aircraft will meet the mandate differently and to plan ahead, it’s important for operators to understand what will be required. Have questions? Visit our ADS-B Academy and then stop by Garmin at EBACE to see what we have to offer to help you meet the ADS-B mandate.
3. Connectivity
Staying connected is important. Worldwide weather pricing and position reporting services available from Garmin, offer customers the latest in global connectivity. Worldwide weather pricing plans also provide flexible and predictable monthly fees. Phone and text services offered by our GSR 56, enables operators to stay in touch from all corners of the World. Position reporting services offer pilots the opportunity to send their position information while in-flight. Pilots may choose how frequently their position information is sent from their avionics to a provider such as FlightAware.com. With a GSR 56 and compatible display, pilots have the world at their fingertips.
4. Synthetic Vision (SVT)
When dark clouds, fog, rain, haze or solid IFR conditions degrade your visibility outside of the cockpit, SVT overlays a virtual three-dimensional depiction of the surrounding terrain, obstacles and runway environment on the primary flight display (PFD). SVT recreates a virtual topographic landscape, which provides an enhanced level of situational awareness in even the most challenging conditions and we have several examples on display at the show!
5. It’s Garmin!
We’re continually innovating and we have a number of new products available for pilots, but we want to show you more! Whether you’re looking to upgrade your panel with our G600 or GTN touchscreen avionics or want to see just how easy and intuitive the G5000 integrated flight deck is to use, we have you covered because they’re on display at EBACE.
There are a number of additional reasons you should come to Switzerland and visit Garmin at EBACE and those are my top five! Along with showcasing innovative products, we’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have and even do a live demo. Be sure to visit us in booth #6055 and we just may leave you with TEN reasons you were glad you stopped by Garmin!
