Dave’s Docklines: Out to sea at SKA

Img00037The fish sure were biting in Biloxi, MS, this weekend! We just wrapped up a great few days at the SKA National Championships and have returned home to reel in the recap for you. In good company, Garmin was one of the four electronic sponsors of this 2-day tournament. With more than 300 boats invited to attend the championship, it is the largest tournament of the year. We joined the fun with a Garmin booth at the Captains Meeting and Welcome Party. We also stuck around for one of the best catches of the tournament…some cool Garmin prizes awarded to the winners. The grand prize winner took home a sweet new boat and trailer valued at more than $100,000, while a few other lucky winners took home a GPSMAP 3210 and a Fishfinder 340C.

And in the perfect recipe of mixing work with pleasure, we had the opportunity to take a ride in a 38-foot center console fountain boat (fully-loaded with the GPSMAP 3210) while visiting Biloxi. Now that’s what I call a great tournament!
