Of course, the boat had some of its own electronics on board, but quite frankly, nothing was as advanced (or versatile, or portable, or easy-to-use) as the 478. When you load the unit with a BlueChart g2 card, you also get some amazing, high-resolution photography. But these photos are for more than eye candy. Our intrepid boaters said the photos (both overhead and angled) gave them a great clue on what to expect and how to navigate near that point of interest.
