Connect IQ: Rowing Pace App
In our continuing spotlight series on Connect IQ apps, we focus on a cutting-edge sports app that can be synced to your Forerunner 920XT, epix, fēnix 3, or vívoactive.
Rowing is a low-impact activity that requires both strength and cardiovascular endurance. It is a great exercise that is easy on the joints and gives you a full-body workout. Before you hit the lake to go kayaking, rowing or paddling, download the Rowing Pace App for your fenix 3 to make the most of your row session.
The Rowing Pace App calculates and displays information about different distances, times and the average wattage for a given pace. To set a desired pace, hold the menu button and enter in the specific pace you would like for 500 meters. Select “start/enter” and use the “up/down” button to scroll through the pace information for pre-determined distances and times. You can use this information to help predict your finish time and estimate your calorie expenditure when rowing consistently at an entered pace.
For more information about downloading watch faces, apps, and widgets, check out our latest blog on how to download from the Connect IQ Store here. Make sure to share your rowing adventures with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #HaveNoLimits.
